C57BL/6J-Nm2885
The phenotype of this semi-dominant mutation consists of a short nose, wide set eyes, a rounded skull and malocclusion. Initial hearing examinations completed on three 6 month, three 7 month and three 8 month old mutants revealed severe hearing loss at low frequencies. Two candidate loci have been ruled out as possible genetic locations.
