The phenotype of this recessive mutation consists of short ear pinnae and a blunt nose. Results from initial hearing examinations completed on 2 mutants and one control at 3 months were normal. Completion of initial mapping revealed this to be a remutation Bmp5. This strain is now only available through cryo. recovery.
